Mark Brunet Production, producers of "Survivor" and "The Apprentice", was in Las Vegas during the month of February and March producing their soon to be released reality based television show entitled "The Casino". The show was shot on location at the beautiful Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas and will air in June on the Fox Network.
One episode of the show was devoted to the USA Bikini Bowling Team which was hosting a model search/pageant at the Golden Nugget, to find new members for the Team. Tom Brietling and Tim Poster, the new owners of the Golden Nugget, greeted over 30 beautiful models from all over the country who flew into Las Vegas to compete in the illustrious event. The new models were recruited by the "Lovely" Amy Raley of Global Events Inc. VIP Celebrity Judge Doug Schwartz who is the Senior Executive Producer of "Baywatch" stated: "I have never seen so many beautiful girls together in one place at one time."
The Golden Nugget invited in its top Players to join the models in an exciting game of bowling and to be Judges in the selection process for the new team members. On Friday night, The VIP Players/Judges met in the beautiful Bel-Air Ballroom located in the Golden Nugget for an glamourous "Welcoming Party", where they were introduced to all thebeautiful models in their "sexy" bowling outfits. The ladies then changed into lovely cocktail dresses and mingled with the judges, who were making their selections as to which model they wanted to bowl with and also to bring them "Luck" while they gambled the night awayat the tables.
Unbeknownst to the Players, earlier that Friday afternoon, Owner Brian Mahoney, of the Silver Nugget Bowling Center, welcomed all the girls to the Silver Nugget so that they could practice bowling. To further assist the ladies in honing their bowling skills, Champion ProBowler Mark Baker with the "Pro Bowlers Tour" was on hand. Linda Davis of California Bowling Supply awarded the bowling team members with brand new bowling balls, bags, shoes, socks, towels and gloves. All the models were fitted by Michael Ashley, owner of the bowling centers Pro Bowling Shop. The bowling balls were custom fitted and drilled byJon Burroughs.
On Saturday, General Manager Anthony Primm hosted the bowling tournament known as the "Lucky Strike" (every bowler is awarded an automatic strike in frames 3, 6, & 9). The games began as the Players/Judges teamed up with their chosen model and competed against the other teams of Players/Judges and models. The event was a very entertaining, exciting, and fun-filled extravaganza where everyone was laughing and having a great time. To insure that we did not miss any of the captivating moments, Photographer/Videographer Mo Martinez, flown in from Hawaii, was on hand to videotape the event, while Photographer John Neyrot, from Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., photographed all the action.
The Final Show which took place on Saturday night, was hosted by the President of the USA Bikini Bowling Team Anthony Linson. Linson appeared to be a "natural" on stage, showing great exuberance as he kept the audience well entertained with laughter. Linson called on each model to come out one at a time clad in her beautiful swimwear of choice. As the models strode ostentatiously before the judges Linson gave a brief "Bio" on each of the gorgeous ladies and some of their significant accomplishments. After the final model passed before the judges, all of the judges ballots were collected. While a compilation of the judges ballots was taking place, the audience was entertained by comedic hypnotist Anthony Cools and premier "Elvis" imitator Steve Connolly, who sang a few of his original songs. Comedic Legend Steve Rossi also took the stage to announce that he had signed a contract with the new owners of the Golden Nugget to perform there for five years. He added: "Now, if I could only get them to sign the contract, my life would be great." Entertainment was provided by Dennis Levinson, long time Las Vegas producer. |
